Health Surcharge Application Rise Imminent

UK visa applicants who are planning to apply in October, please take advantage of a lower charge and submit your application now!

The Immigration Health Surcharge increase (IHS) will apply to applications submitted on and from 27 October 2020. This follows the release of The Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2020. Accordingly, the current lower level of £400 per year will increase to £624 per year, with an increase rate of 56%.  However, a rate of £470 per year will apply to students, dependants of students, Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) and any applicants under the age of 18.

The Health and Care Visa applicants and their family members will be exempt from paying the surcharge. This is part of the government support to the Heath and Care industry.

What does this mean to you?

Applicants still have 8 days to submit their applications before the official increase kicks in.

This means you could save up to £1,120 if you submit your application online before 27 October 2020!
