Our story

Built on the biggest cases in modern media law

Taylor Hampton’s groundbreaking casework has helped shape modern media law. The firm acted in the litigation behind the “serious harm” test enshrined in the Defamation Act 2013, and in Lachaux, the Supreme Court case confirming that evidence of a publication’s actual impact is central to establishing defamation. Taylor Hampton was also at the forefront of the phone-hacking litigation that led to the closure of the News of the World, and acted in Gulati, the landmark privacy case that transformed how damages are assessed in privacy claims.

Ranked by both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, Taylor Hampton is a leading name in defamation, privacy and reputation management.
