She is able to advise on tenancy agreements from the drafting of the agreement, the enforcement of the terms to ensuring the subsequent vacation of the property at the end of the term including possession proceedings.
Although the majority of her clients have been landlords, this has given her considerable experience to advise and assist tenants when disputes with their landlord arise. Valerie also deals with individual lease extensions and enfranchisement work where a group of tenants wish to try and purchase the freehold of their building. She has considerable knowledge of the workings of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal where valuations and disputes (including service charge disputes) may be referred.
Valerie has always enjoyed a good and close working relationship with her clients and is still working with clients introduced to her at the beginning of her career. Valerie also has extensive experience of general litigation, including debt recovery.
